Frequently Asked Questions

It looks like there is a 2 week online portion. Would this be 8 hours a day course? If not what kind of time commitment each day would be a good estimate?
Depends a bit on the person, but on average you can expect 4h per week for the 2 week time frame.

For the onsite week, would these be about 8 hours of training each day?
That is correct, expect 8h each day for the whole week.

I understand the cost of training is funded through the Navy, and we will be responsible for travel and lodging expenses in Novi. Are there other costs that we should consider? Software, curriculum, or other supplies to work with?
No, there’s no other cost that you need to consider.

What is the difference between the course for “Large Frame system” and “Small Frame system”?
The key difference is the type of EOS machine used during the training:

  • Large Frame System courses are conducted on the EOS M400-4, which is suited for larger builds and industrial-scale applications.
  • Small Frame System courses use the EOS M290, ideal for smaller parts and general training.

If you're new to Additive Manufacturing or don’t currently have AM equipment, we recommend starting with the Small Frame System course.
If you're working with or planning to use a large frame system like the M400-4, the Large Frame System course will be more relevant to your needs.

How many participants are in each Course?
Each course is limited to a maximum of 5 participants. This small group size ensures a hands-on learning experience and supports maximum knowledge retention through personalized guidance and interaction.
