For more than 35 years EOS has been pioneering in additive manufacturing (AM) and acts as a global leader in the industrial 3D printing of metals and plastics, offering integrated production solutions for AM. Gas Turbines are real high-tech machines. Every part operates at its limits offering the perfect challenges to proof the capabilities of AM. Some turbine parts, like the advanced cooling vane, operate in gas streams close to their melting temperature or even above, only kept alive by active cooling. Here, our technology offers great potential, and proves that additively manufactured parts considerably outperform conventional parts, simply due to their advanced geometries. And the serial manufacturing on some 50 EOS machines at our customer site demonstrate the market proof of our technology.
