Strengthening Defense Supply Security with Metal 3D Printing
Through Finland's Squadron 2020 Program

PR_Defense_1000x600

EOS and AMEXCI, together with Saab, are developing new capabilities to manufacture demanding defense components in Finland with metal additive manufacturing (AM), as part of Squadron 2020 Industrial Participation.

The project focuses on AM solutions for spare parts and new product development, improving overall supply security in Finland. AM can enable spare part production for the Finnish Defense Forces (FDF) and critical industries.

Customer Voice

"The Additive Minds Team at EOS is a game changer. The team was willing to take on an impossible challenge of creating four qualified parts in three months. EOS was willing to accelerate delivery, support, install, production, and coordinate outsourcing of heat treat and testing. The Purchase Order for the machine was placed in November, installed in December, and ran uninterrupted for almost two months as required to meet the deadlines."
